Police review security for Pakistan-Sri Lanka T20 cricket series in Rawalpindi

Hassan Mushtaq Sukhaira convened a meeting at Police Lines Headquarters to evaluate security protocols for the Pakistan-Sri Lanka T20 cricket series. The session also served as a platform to assess the general law and order conditions throughout Rawalpindi.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, SSP Investigation, SP Security, SP Headquarters, divisional SPs, SDPOs, SHOs and other senior police officers participated in the briefing. Sukhaira stated that foolproof security measures have been established for the cricket matches.
Special protocols are active to preserve peace and order in the region, with Sukhaira confirming that Section 144 is currently in effect across the city. Law enforcement will ensure strict adherence to these restrictions and initiate legal proceedings against any individuals who violate them.
Sukhaira emphasized that the primary duty of the police is to safeguard the lives, property and assets of the public.
