The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) imposed a Rs77.8 million fine on a cellular company following a series of fraudulent activities. A duplicate SIM card was issued in the name of Sunny Kumar on 29 September in Dhabeji, Thatta.

Criminals withdrew Rs8.5 million from the account belonging to Sunny Kumar. The cellular company argued that a third party had deceived the retailer in the incident.

To obtain information, the branch service officer offered payment to an employee at Nadra. Sunny Kumar recovered his money from the bank.

The PTA ordered the bank to return the money to the victims. Farhan Chishti landed at Islamabad airport on 12 January.
