Joint Secretary Freedoon Akram Sheikh attended the session alongside representatives from the cutlery, carpets, sports goods, and leather sectors. The government aims to advance the Prime Minister’s vision for economic revival by strengthening industrial development and private sector engagement.

Haroon stated that the Export Enhancement Task Force was established to identify industrial challenges, explore growth opportunities, and develop practical measures to improve Pakistan’s export performance. He added that the state is facilitating the business community to improve competitiveness and create an environment where companies can expand operations.

The adviser noted that meaningful consultation with industry representatives is essential for creating result-oriented policies. Haroon highlighted that the leather, sports goods, cutlery, and carpets sectors provide significant opportunities for generating employment and strengthening the national economy.

Industry representatives were invited to submit actionable proposals to address specific challenges, improve product quality, and open new international markets. Haroon said the government would continue working closely with the private sector to identify bottlenecks and develop policies that respond to the actual needs of industry.
