Our content
Everything published here (reporting, photographs, video, graphics, the Sun News name and logo) belongs to Sun News or to the people who licensed it to us. We grant you a limited, personal, non-commercial licence, revocable at any time, to read it, print a copy for yourself, and share links to it. This licence does not transfer any ownership or other right in the content.
You may not, without our written permission:
- republish a whole article, video or photograph on another site or in print;
- present our reporting as your own, or strip the byline and attribution from it;
- use our name, logo or output to imply that Sun News endorses a product, person or campaign;
- scrape or bulk-copy the site, including for the purpose of training a machine learning model, other than the ordinary indexing that search engines do under our
robots.txt.
Short quotations for the purpose of reporting, criticism or comment are fine, provided you credit Sun News and link to the original story.
Wire and third-party material
Some stories originate with news agencies or other outlets and are marked with their source. Those rights belong to the originating outlet, and this permission does not extend to reusing their material.
Sundial and other data
Sundial republishes figures from public institutions such as the State Bank of Pakistan, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics and OGRA. Each figure carries its source and the time it was last verified. It is published for general information: it is not financial, investment or trading advice, it may lag or be revised by the issuing institution, and you should refer to the original source before acting on any number. We do not accept liability for decisions taken on the basis of these figures.
What you send us
If you send us a tip, a photograph, a video or a correction, you confirm it is yours to send and you give us permission to publish it, in whole or in part, with or without attribution as you have asked. We are not obliged to publish anything. Material sent through the careers page is handled under our privacy policy and used only for recruitment.
Availability
We aim to keep the site up and accurate, but we publish it as it is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change, move or withdraw any part of it. To the fullest extent the law allows, Sun News is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Pakistani law.
