Jenna Ortega does not watch her own movies or read reviews of her performances. The actress avoids checking box office updates because she does not want her work to become a numbers thing.
The performer is currently preparing for the release of Klara and the Sun, a film adapted from the novel by Kazuo Ishiguro. Variety described the upcoming movie as a "calamitous" and "strained, whimsical comedy that’s ruinous."
The production spent $20 million and currently holds a 27% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Klara and the Sun is expected to earn around $2 million during its theatrical debut on 23 October 2026.
Ortega also headlines the Netflix series Wednesday, which is entering its third season. She will take a break from television once the production of Wednesday concludes.
The actress began her career at age nine in Jane the Virgin and later appeared in three seasons of Stuck in the Middle.
