Singer Zara Larsson partnered with Erewhon on 8 October to release a limited-edition smoothie supporting the Malala Fund. Larsson announced the collaboration via Instagram, introducing a drink named after her album, Midnight Sun.
The 20-ounce beverage features a blend of dragon fruit punch, blueberries, banana, strawberries, mango, and pineapple mixed with coconut milk. Additional ingredients in the drink include coconut water, carrot juice, colostrum, whey protein, grass-fed collagen, spirulina, lion’s mane, and cordyceps.
Erewhon described the Midnight Sun Smoothie as a "free-spirited blend" that captures an eternal summer by layering organic fruits and coconut cream. The company stated, "With this smoothie, Erewhon proudly supports Malala Fund — a nonprofit founded by Malala Yousafzai and her father to drive sustainable change toward every girl’s right to 12 years of free, safe, quality education."
Malala Yousafzai and Ziauddin Yousafzai co-founded the Malala Fund in 2013 to secure education for girls in nations including Pakistan and Afghanistan. Customers can purchase the smoothie for $21.00 at Erewhon locations throughout Southern California and its Manhattan tonic bar in New York.
The drink will remain available until 7 November, with Manhattan residents able to order it via Postmates and Uber Eats. Hydration brand ROAR Organic also participated in the launch of the charity beverage.
