Donald Trump named Jay Clayton America's "Super Intelligence" czar on 29 September, establishing a new focus for the technology sector. Trump signed an executive order on 29 September to change the terminology, renaming AI to Super Intelligence.

This new 'Super Intelligence Force' will work to ensure the United States maintains its lead in technology development and will coordinate government interaction with the public. The taskforce will coordinate the Federal Government's engagement with Consumers, Public Interest Groups, Religious Organizations, Critical Infrastructure Providers, and Super Intelligence Companies.

Federal Trade Commission Chair Andrew Ferguson, Undersecretary of Defense for Research, Engineering Emil Michael, and Director of the Office of Personnel Management Scott Kupor will join the taskforce. The taskforce will report directly to the president and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.

Jay Clayton assumed the role of US national intelligence director in August. Regarding the technology's dual nature, Clayton stated, "When something's both an opportunity and a threat, you better get your arms around it."

Furthermore, the executive order instructed US government departments and agencies to use the terms "SI" and "Super Intelligence" and cease acknowledging artificial intelligence. The pact signed on 29 September included signatures from executives representing OpenAI, Anthropic, SpaceX, and Google.

Elon Musk announced he would rename his firm's AI platform SpaceXAI to SpaceXSI.
