The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) issued a power suspension programme scheduled for Wednesday. District administration development works, such as road widening and the construction of flyovers and underpasses, necessitate these shutdowns.
An IESCO spokesperson stated that electricity supply will remain suspended in the Islamabad Circle from 09:00 AM to 02:00 PM. The same five-hour window applies to the Rawalpindi City Circle, Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, Attock Circle, and Jhelum Circle.
Power will be cut in the Chakwal Circle from 07:00 AM to 02:00 PM, while the GSO Circle faces a suspension from 07:00 AM to 05:00 PM. The company also noted that the shutdowns will facilitate the installation of new 11kV feeders.
