Laurene Powell Jobs paid $250 million to acquire an equity stake in Skydance. The company was established following the merger of Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount Skydance.
On 5 October 2026, Jobs joined the Skydance board alongside Bobby Kotick. Jobs received 33,118 restricted stock units, which are set to vest during the 2027 annual meeting of stockholders.
The founder and president of Emerson Collective also serves as the lead investor of Anonymous Content. She currently chairs the board of the Atlantic as its majority investor.
With an estimated net worth of $15.8 billion, Jobs enters a corporate structure where the Ellison family holds the largest equity stake. RedBird Capital Partners contributed $4 billion to Skydance, and together with the Ellisons, they own the Paramount Class A common stock.
These two entities maintain 100% of the voting shares for the combined company. Sovereign wealth funds from Abu Dhabi, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia also participated as equity investors in the Paramount-WBD merger.
