Lana Rhoades, born Amara Maple, entered the adult film industry in 2016 at the age of 19. She spent approximately 8 months in the industry before choosing to leave.
Rhoades stated that she looked "like a little kid" during her early career, noting that the industry is composed of "a bunch of really young girls." The performer claimed that producers often operate under the mindset that "the younger the better."
During filming, Rhoades said she would be "gagging or crying" when her face was hidden from the camera. She described some scenes as feeling like assault and noted that 3 to 5 specific scenes were "really traumatic" for her.
Rhoades expressed that she felt "disgusted" by certain co-stars and observed that many women, including her friends, struggle to feel comfortable saying no. She further alleged that many performers feel pressured by agents who do not prioritize their best interests.
The former actress revealed she holds no rights to many of her previous videos.
