MoreThan Films has secured the international sales rights for the Spanish coming-of-age drama Salen las lobas. The film is scheduled for its world premiere at Spain’s Valladolid Film Festival (Seminci) on 25 October 2026.

It will feature in the Seminci Joven section. Producer Alba Sotorra stated, “We believe ‘Salen las lobas’ has strong potential to connect with young audiences worldwide, thanks to its universal story, the authenticity of its protagonists and its musical approach.”

Valeria Estrada Tarascó, who entered a juvenile justice facility at age 14, plays the character Luna. The cast also includes Marrouch Laamarti, Vanessa Aisha Badji, Sara Martínez, and Alex Brendemühl, who portrays Luna’s father.

Salen las lobas previously won the best fiction project award at the Atlàntida Film Fest. This production marks the first feature under Oceanika, a company led by Sotorra.

Silencio Cinema will release the film theatrically in Spain on 11 December 2026. Filmin and RTVE are also attached to the release.

The project received backing from Eurimages, Creative Europe MEDIA, Spain’s ICAA, and Catalonia’s ICEC. Queralt Pons heads MoreThan Films, which operates between Barcelona, Berlin, and São Paulo.
