Pedro Pascal portrays Alex Serian in the film Behemoth!, which premiered at the New York Film Festival on 2 October. Tony Gilroy wrote and directed the movie, which is scheduled to open on 4 December.
The 51-year-old actor spent 20 years in small roles on television and on stage before starting in Game of Thrones at age 39. Pascal, who also appeared in The Mandalorian and The Last of Us, took cello lessons from Charlie Tyler and Timothy Loo for this role.
Serian is a cellist who returns to Los Angeles after spending 20 years on the road. Production began toward the end of October in Los Angeles and concluded in Vienna.
Olivia Wilde also appears in the film, which does not reveal its plot until 65% to 70% in. Pascal had lunch with Gilroy in late July to discuss the project.
The actor is a friend of Kieran Culkin and will also appear in De Noche and Avengers: Doomsday.
Tony Gilroy said, "I don’t want to fuck with this. But do you think maybe we can put a smile on this?"
