Sahar Hashmi drew attention to the issue of delayed payments currently affecting workers in the entertainment sector. The actress refrained from identifying specific production houses or individuals in her public statement regarding the financial setbacks.

Several other prominent figures have voiced similar grievances about late compensation, including filmmaker Mehreen Jabbar and actors Romaisa Khan, Ahmed Ali Butt, Nadia Afgan, Mohammed Ahmed, and Haroon Shahid. Hashmi first entered the television industry with a role in Zulm.

Her portfolio includes appearances in Shaidai, Ishq Hua, Shadi Card, and Mann Mast Malang. She also portrayed the character Bano in the production Zanjeerain.

Malik Imran Ishaq urges modern methods to boost Khyber Pakhtunkhwa exports

SCCI chief stresses diversification and innovation to enhance export of Furniture, Gemstone from KP

Malik Imran Ishaq called for the adoption of modern methods to drive diversification and innovation within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's manufacturing sectors on 15 October. The furniture industry represents a significant potential sector for the province that could substantially improve Pakistan's overall export performance.

During a meeting with various business delegations, Ishaq emphasised using new technology and precise cutting and polishing techniques to increase the international demand for gemstones. Representatives from Lahori Gate Bazar and Dhaki Bazar Gemstone visited the chamber to exchange views on these industrial advancements.

Naeemur Rehman, Faiz Muhammad Faizi, Asim Shahzad and Muqtasid Ahsan attended the session to discuss sector-specific challenges. Ishaq assured the participants that the issues raised during the discussions would be presented to relevant provincial and central government authorities.

A fully functional Business Facilitation Centre, which houses several government departments, is now operational at the chamber house.

Salman Khan opens Koffee With Karan Season 9 as first guest

Salman Khan appeared as the inaugural guest for Season 9 of Koffee With Karan on 14 October. The 60-year-old actor shared that his choice to remain single was a personal decision, stating, "Nobody stopped me from getting married; I stopped myself."

Khan expressed a desire to have children at some point in his life. Karisma Kapoor joined the host and Khan for the show's rapid-fire segment, marking a reunion for the pair who have shared 13 films.

This marks Khan's third time on the couch, where he previously appeared alongside Salim Khan, Arbaaz Khan, and Sohail Khan. Karan Johar hosted the final season of the series while preparing for his upcoming project, Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace.

Shaheen Shah Afridi meets official to discuss Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sports development

Shaheen Shah Afridi met with Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, to discuss promoting sports in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The two officials focused on identifying emerging talent within the province to bolster Pakistan’s long-term sporting development.

Afridi is scheduled to play in an upcoming home ODI tri-series featuring England and Sri Lanka. Pakistan recently secured a 2-1 victory over Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series.

The Hockey Pakistan Hockey League 2027 has been officially launched.
