Anthropic announced Claude Duet as a research preview for users in the United States who hold Pro or Max subscriptions. The company stated that Claude Duet is currently an “early version”.

Built around Claude Opus 5.5, the tool pulls in memory, skills, and connected apps from the existing Claude platform. Users can access the service through the Claude web interface or as a standalone application on iOS.

Every morning, the system sends a short brief regarding important items across connected applications. It monitors apps and messages the user only when an item requires attention.

Capabilities of the tool include scheduling meetings, creating financial or sales forecasts, and building dashboards with dozens of tools. The software can also prototype, build web apps, and utilize a virtual machine equipped with a browser.

A dedicated classifier and safety system prompt are included to reject requests to share credit card numbers. The system messages the user for approval before deleting anything or sending a payment.

While capable of complex tasks, the tool is not as strong at personal errands such as booking tickets. Interested users can join a waitlist to gain access.
