Development work in Sector C-15 of Islamabad is approximately 60 per cent complete. Authorities are nearing the final stages of securing land possession within the same sector.

Over the last month to month and a half, possession was handed over for roughly 4,068 plots in Sector E-12. Commercial plots in Sector E-12, with a total value exceeding Rs200 billion, were recovered.

A new member was appointed to manage sector development and resolve associated problems. Approximately 700 metric tonnes of solid waste are transported daily, even though Islamabad generates about 300 metric tonnes of waste every day.

A Turkish company received a government contract to manage solid waste in Islamabad’s rural areas, including Zones III and IV. A permanent disposal site was purchased on Chak Beli Road in the Rawalpindi district.

To enhance sanitation services, the CDA acquired modern machinery. Allotment letters for Sector E-12 were issued in 1992 following the project's launch in 1985.

Waste transfer operations at the site remained suspended for about six months because of specific issues.
