All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) expressed interest in purchasing between 25 MW and 50 MW of electricity from the Punjab government. The association sent a formal letter to Sania Awais, Managing Director of the Punjab Power Development Board, on 14 October.

Punjab is currently evaluating its role as a power generator in an auction for the initial 400 MW under the Competitive Trading Bilateral Contract Market framework. The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) formally commended Cnergyico Pakistan Limited (CPL) for its actions following an oil spill near Churna Island on 30 June. The leak occurred in the vicinity of offshore Single Point Mooring (SPM) facilities belonging to CPHGC and CPL.

Authorities identified the cause as bilge discharge from an unknown seagoing vessel passing through the area. On 14 October, the PMSA issued an official communication regarding the incident and the subsequent response.
