Former President Barack Obama campaigned for the Democratic Party in preparation for the US midterm elections scheduled for 3 November 2026. Obama visited Ohio to offer support for candidates Sherrod Brown and Amy Acton.

The former president also criticised the current administration, saying, "This election is our last best chance to at least rein in some of the foolishness of this administration." Obama further remarked that there is no line the current leader will not cross to gain attention, while mocking the decor of the White House by comparing it to a Cheesecake Factory opened by Saddam Hussein.

In Georgia, President Donald Trump held a rally where he promoted his immigration and tariff policies. Trump claimed the country is entering a golden age and asserted that the nation is becoming stronger while fuel prices will decrease.

The President stated, "we're taking in massive amounts of money through tariffs." Trump also pledged to provide a $5,000 payout to every adult American if Republicans secure control of both chambers of Congress.

The President cast his ballot in Florida on 24 October 2026. Trump commented on his ongoing efforts, saying, "I've done it very effectively and I may have to finish it off, or maybe they'll make a deal, but I'm not sure. Either way, we win."

Acton noted that the President has chosen to exploit her childhood.
