Buraq Automobile plans to build a local assembly facility for high-displacement motorcycles from China and Italy. Mobeen Ahmed stated the plant should be operational by 1 December 2026.

Manufacturing is scheduled to commence on 1 January 2027. The company currently imports and distributes motorcycles from QJMOTOR, Benelli, and Moto Morini.

Moto Morini will head the initial assembly phase, starting with the Alltrhike 450 adventure bike. A 300cc model will follow as the second assembly unit.

Buraq Automobile intends to assemble another international brand in addition to these models. Ahmed said local assembly could reduce the price of the Alltrhike 450 from Rs. 26 lakh to a tentative Rs. 19.95 lakh.

This price drop represents a reduction of about 23 percent. Costs might decrease further if the government approves an auto policy to lower duties on completely knocked-down motorcycle kits.

Ahmed said the company would pass any extra duty relief on to the buyers. The firm also plans to introduce locally assembled electronic fuel injection motorcycles.

Ahmed noted that electronic fuel injection improves power, acceleration, and fuel economy. Repair facilities for these electronic fuel injection systems remain limited in Pakistan.
