The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) held an interactive session on 12 October to discuss sanitation fees, motor vehicle registration, and property tax amendments. Nosherwan Khalil Khan chaired the proceedings while Imran Aslam served as the guest speaker.

Nauman Khalid presented details on recent property tax reforms, specifically highlighting the shift from an Annual Rental Value system to a Capital Value approach. Revenue collection in the Rawalpindi Division showed significant improvement during fiscal year 2026–27 compared to the previous year.

Khan emphasized that no business center or commercial premises should be sealed without prior approval from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. The chamber called for a taxation mechanism based on fairness and requested the Excise & Taxation Department to include trade representatives in relevant grievance committees.

Sohail Altaf, RCCI Group Leader, attended the meeting alongside Senior Vice President Waseem Aslam and Vice President Ikram-ur-Rehman Abbasi. Tariq Jadoon, Vice President of the FPCCI, and Rana Khurram, President of the Small Chamber, also participated in the session.
