Pakistan’s Establishment Division is transitioning to a digital system for the annual performance evaluation reports of federal government officers. The initial stage of this rollout includes personnel from the Pakistan Administrative Service, the Police Service of Pakistan, and the Office Management Group.
Technical assistance from the National Information Technology Board is being provided to develop the new platform. This digital infrastructure will function as part of the Human Resource Management Information System.
Each phase of the yearly evaluation cycle is assigned a specific window of 10 to 15 days. Processing requests for the transfer or posting of officers typically requires between 7 and 15 days.
Authorities must start disciplinary proceedings within 7 days of receiving a case. Rules dictate that inquiries involving government officials must reach completion within 60 days.
Following the conclusion of an inquiry, an officer has a maximum of 14 days to reply to a show cause notice. The government also announced the provision of 500,000 Chromebooks for students.
