Pakistan Railways imposed an emergency across the department and cancelled all leave for field officers for a period of three months. These emergency measures will remain in force until 31 December 2026.

Railway officers are now directed to visit the field and supervise train operations on Sundays. The department requires officers to travel by train for official duties.
