The District Registration Authority of schools ordered private educational institutions in Rawalpindi to complete their registration within one week. Authorities warned that any premises failing to register by the deadline will be sealed.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Social Services) Fazail Mudassar chaired the meeting of the District Registration Authority to oversee these measures. Officials reviewed applications for 35 newly founded private schools, rejecting one due to missing documentation.

The remaining 34 institutions received conditional registration pending the submission of certificates for Science Labs and IT facilities. The meeting also approved the imposition of fines on schools that breached government orders during the summer break.

A third-party evaluation is scheduled to assess the structural integrity of private school buildings. District Education Authority Chief Executive Officer Yasin Khan Baloch stated the education authority was surveying 7,000 private schools and 1,300 government-run schools in the district for safety measures and dangerous buildings.

Work on the survey of 5,000 schools has already been finished. Authorities have instructed 300 private schools and 143 government-run schools to finish safety improvements within seven days.
