Sindh government to finish Khiyam Canal restoration in Clifton within two months

The Sindh Local Government Department will complete the restoration of the Khiyam Canal in Clifton within two months. Work involves covering the existing drain and diverting sewage water away from the area by the same deadline.
A clean-water canal is being developed as a central component of a broader beautification plan for the district. Tree plantations and new greenery will be introduced along the canal's surroundings to enhance the environment.
Syed Nasir Hussain Shah stated that no unrelated construction or encroachment was occurring at the site. Shah further clarified that the project does not permit or authorise any commercial activities.
The Chief Minister of Sindh has taken notice of the matter.
