Alexander Skarsgård wears 3D-printed wicker costume in new film Wicker

Alexander Skarsgård appears in theaters as the wicker husband in the production Wicker. The costume for Skarsgård consisted of 50 separate 3D-printed appliances that were painted to resemble wicker.
These components were stitched onto a suit made from flexible spandex, ensuring no actual straw was used in the garment. Digital sculpting and 3D printing techniques formed the basis of the production's visual effects.
A full-body scan of Skarsgård initiated the creation process. Makeup for the role included 10 individual pieces, while Skarsgård's facial hair was constructed from muka.
Muka is a silky-soft fiber derived from the harakeke plant. It took less than two hours to complete the transformation of Skarsgård into the character.
"90 minutes is where we were by the end of it," Rubano said.
