Evolution Mallorca will take place from 28 October to 4 November 2026. This marks the 15th edition of the festival.
Organisers are bringing back Evolution Pitch to showcase new projects. A panel of judges including Kim Magnusson, Xavi Font, and Russell Goldman will review the submissions.
Gabriela Ortega, Pedro Barbadillo, Sami Arpa, and Bora Dagtekin also serve as members of the pitch jury. Lipski stated, "And we had so many great Script Lab submissions, so we felt we wanted to use what we already had and amplify it."
The festival aims to tap into a sense of nostalgia. Sheila Pye, a Canadian filmmaker based in Mallorca, co-wrote the script "No Shade at Noon" with Ally Mackie.
Annabella Fazio, a filmmaker from Los Angeles, authored "Camino". Isabella Rose, a British actress and filmmaker who grew up in Mallorca, wrote "Under the Same Sky".
Marina La Ruina contributed the script "A Place to Fall", while Núria Amigo wrote "Flutter". Marcos Callejos, a Mallorcan writer and director, penned "Ones".
Toni Bestard, a director nominated for a Goya, is also involved.
