New Zealand journalist David Farrier releases documentary on extreme car clamping

Auckland journalist David Farrier released a documentary titled Mister Organ, which examines the predatory practices of a local antique shop. Bashford Antiques, located in Ponsonby, demanded fees reaching $760 from owners to release vehicles from its lot.
Farrier's reporting for The Spinoff prompted the government to introduce new legislation aimed at outlawing extreme clamping fees. Michael Organ, who was hired to police the shop's lot, faced charges for attempting to steal a yacht.
Organ claimed to be a prince and admitted to possessing a key to Farrier's residence. Farrier fled the country to ensure his own safety from Organ.
Viewers can stream the documentary on YouTube, Kanopy, and Hoopla.
