The Pakistan Hockey Federation signed a sponsorship agreement with Vital Group during a ceremony in Islamabad. Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, and PHF President Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani attended the event.

Mian Asad from Vital Group also participated in the signing proceedings. Ahsan Iqbal stated that private-sector support was essential for developing hockey and providing financial stability to players so they could focus on their performance.

The Planning Minister offered the national hockey team a permanent training base at the National Sports City in Narowal. This facility provides international-standard infrastructure for 14 different sports.

Iqbal added that the government was working to improve training facilities and provide players with the resources needed to compete internationally. Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan noted that the government had restored departmental sports and was working to develop the Pakistan Hockey League.

Khan further mentioned that a large number of Dutch players would be available for the proposed league.
