Bose has launched the Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds priced at $99. These earbuds connect via a USB-C port and support high-resolution audio at 24-bit/48kHz.
The product features a 4.2-foot cable equipped with an in-line remote containing three buttons and two microphones on each side. Included in the package are two sets of wings and three different ear tip sizes.
The device carries an IPX4 rating for water resistance. This release arrives as wired earbud sales increased this year, reversing a five-year downward trend that began when Apple removed the headphone jack from the iPhone in 2016.
Bose's QuietComfort 20, which debuted in 2013, previously featured a rechargeable battery in the cable and a 3.5mm jack. Other manufacturers have also entered the space, with Belkin releasing SoundForm ANC Wired Earbuds for $30 and Audio-Technica launching a pair of wired earbuds in Asia earlier this year.
The QuietComfort Earbuds model features three microphones.
