The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has introduced an interoperability system designed to simplify the distribution of digital payments. Beneficiaries are now able to receive their funds through authorised retailers that are linked to the One-Link network.

A one-day training workshop focused on the Social Protection Wallet, digital payments, and the new interoperability system was held by the BISP Azad Jammu & Kashmir Regional Office. Haider Murtaza, the Director General of BISP Azad Jammu & Kashmir, spoke at the concluding session of the training.

Adnan Ghuman, General of Operations Management at BISP Headquarters in Islamabad, travelled to Muzaffarabad to attend the workshop. Sixty-six officers and officials from various districts across Azad Jammu & Kashmir took part in the training.

Recipients are required to wait for a confirmation SMS before they can collect any payments. BISP expressed gratitude to UNICEF for providing support in the organisation of the workshop.

Farukh Rashid led a practical session regarding the Integrated Grievance Management System (IGMS). Muhammad Hamza conducted an online session covering the Social Protection Wallet and integrated institutional systems.

Dr. Qurrat-ul-Ain managed group activities and field-based case studies during the event. Azmat Ali Khan provided a session on decision-making and policy.
