Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) will launch online services for learner permits, driving licence renewals, and duplicate licences on 19 October 2026. Residents can submit applications for these services from their homes starting on the designated date.
Captain (retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, the Islamabad Inspector General of Police, directed the initiative. Authorities will stop processing these specific applications at the Traffic Headquarters in Faizabad or other police facilitation centres from 19 October.
Chief Traffic Officer Kainat Azhar Khan stated that TCS courier services would deliver renewed and duplicate driving licences directly to applicants’ homes. The service would eliminate unnecessary visits to police offices, save time, and make the process more convenient, according to Khan.
Applicants must provide full names, accurate residential addresses, and active mobile phone numbers when submitting online applications, Khan said. Khan warned that incomplete or incorrect addresses could delay delivery.
The Islamabad Traffic Police remained committed to providing accessible and convenient digital services, Khan added.
