Citizens across Pakistan can now report cybercrimes by calling the Police Helpline 15, which has been integrated with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi stated that emergency helpline systems in major cities and different provinces have been connected with the agency to simplify the registration of cybercrime complaints.

Complaints received through the helpline regarding data theft, online fraud, cyber harassment, and other digital crimes will be automatically forwarded to relevant NCCIA zones for immediate legal action. This initiative aims to strengthen coordination between the police and the NCCIA while ensuring faster responses to reported incidents.

In a separate technological development, researchers at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) created a smartphone-based system called SHIRBT-MMF to detect stress. The paper for the SHIRBT-MMF system first appeared in December 2025.

Professor Uichin Lee noted that a smartphone should not simply be viewed as a device for measuring usage time, but as a place where activities such as communication, searching and payments repeatedly occur. The system employs OpenAI’s GPT-4o to assign labels like web browsing, messenger chatting, or email reading by analyzing screen-transition patterns.

During tests involving messenger, browser, and email apps, SHIRBT-MMF correctly identified the same task more than 95% of the time. The system recorded behavioral data such as screen transitions and typing frequency without collecting actual message content.

To prevent revealing original identities, the researchers hashed information regarding call partners and message recipients. The study identified 29 types of repeated behavior, with the best-performing model achieving average accuracies of 75.9% for the short-term group and 73.8% for the long-term group.

The KAIST team plans to present this work at UbiComp/ISWC 2026 in Shanghai. YouTube Music is rolling out "Made with AI" labels today to identify music created using generative artificial intelligence.

Songs featuring AI-generated vocals or compositions will show an AI label directly on the YouTube Music player page, with the labels arriving on the main YouTube app soon. YouTube stated it is using its own detection technology to identify AI-generated music and is working with music industry partners to help determine which songs contain AI-generated material.
