Brazil received a warm welcome from fans in Kolkata during a friendly match against India. Carlo Ancelotti stated that he wishes to showcase an entertaining game for the supporters.

Speaking about the occasion, Ancelotti remarked, "We know how this region loves the national team… we are happy to be here to play against India." Furthermore, Ancelotti suggested that "All these games… are good preparation and a good opportunity to show what we can do."

The coach also advised the players to "enjoy themselves, to play with happiness in every game. You want to play with joy." Marquinhos added that the focus remains on performance and victory, but also on thanking the Indian people for their consistent support to the Brazilian national team throughout its history.

The defender noted that India represents the second-largest group of supporters of the national team outside Brazil, calling it both a pleasure and an honour. The Brazilian squad arrives following a 1-1 draw and a 4-2 victory in two preceding friendlies against Australia.

Ancelotti claimed that the talent Brazil displayed in 2002 was considerable. The coach further observed that football has evolved, noting that teamwork is now more prevalent in the sport.

For Saturday's fixture, Ancelotti indicated it will provide another chance for him to test new players. He clarified that the upcoming match constitutes an opportunity rather than a formal test.
