The FIFA Council will discuss federation payments on 15 October. Gianni Infantino instructed the Secretary General to consolidate all submissions into one integrated assessment for the FIFA Council's consideration.
Aleksander Ceferin and Victor Montagliani wrote a letter to FIFA requesting payments. Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa also made a similar request to FIFA.
UEFA, CONCACAF, and the AFC called for Infantino to resign over his plan to sell roughly 20% of FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE). Joshua Kushner was slated to become an investor in FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE).
Infantino abandoned the private equity plan. Regarding funding, Infantino stated, "I will not prejudge the amount."
He further stated that he would support the highest level of extra funding that FIFA's proper governance process can responsibly deliver, provided it is applied fairly and supported by transparent and auditable arrangements. The letter from UEFA and CONCACAF asks for every member association to receive a minimum of 10 million $ from FIFA’s reserves.
If the FFE plan had proceeded, each member nation would have received at least 20 million $. Infantino also plans to run for re-election in March.
