The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is currently discussing consultancy roles with Shaun Tait and Martin Guptill for the men's team coaching staff. The PCB is expected to bring in foreign consultants to bolster the men's team coaching setup. The board issued an advertisement for the vacant bowling and fielding coach positions. This action follows the resignations of Ashley Noffke and Shane McDermott.
Martin Guptill has strong chances of being confirmed for the fielding consultant role with the PCB. Furthermore, Shaun Tait previously served as the bowling coach for the Pakistan men's team between 2022 and 2023. Tait stepped down from his position as bowling coach for Bangladesh in June this year due to family commitments. Regarding his departure, Tait stated, "So, the full-time role of year-round red and white-ball cricket, my 12 months was enough and it's time to just step back and give my family a little bit more time."
