Amazon refreshed its Kindle lineup, introducing three new models: the Kindle 12th Gen, Kindle Paperwhite 7th Gen, and Kindle Colorsoft 2nd Gen. These three new Kindle models feature updated colours, thinner profiles, and extended battery longevity.

Aluminum-backed versions are now available across the entire Kindle range. The Kindle 12th Gen maintains a 6-inch e-ink display, featuring more rounded corners and a flush front design.

New colour choices for the Kindle 12th Gen include Ube, Graphite, Alpine Sky, and Seaglass Green. The Alpine Sky and Seaglass Green versions of the Kindle 12th Gen incorporate aluminum backs.

Furthermore, the Kindle 12th Gen is 1mm thinner than its predecessor. Plastic Kindle 12th Gen units weigh 140g, while the aluminum-backed variants weigh roughly 20g more.

The Kindle 12th Gen claims that books open 30% faster than the Kindle from the previous generation. Power button placement shifts to the right side on the Kindle 12th Gen, and its battery life is rated up to six weeks.

For the Kindle 12th Gen, the 16GB Ube and Graphite models begin at a price point of $150. The 32GB aluminum-backed Kindle 12th Gen versions are priced at $190.

The Kindle Paperwhite 7th Gen keeps a 7-inch e-ink display, which features an improved contrast ratio for reading outdoors. Users can expect up to 12 weeks of battery operation from the Kindle Paperwhite 7th Gen.

The standard Kindle Paperwhite 7th Gen model comes with 16GB storage in Graphite for $200. The Paperwhite Signature Edition includes an aluminum back, an auto-adjusting front-light sensor, and 32GB storage, costing $250 in Graphite and Seaglass Green.

The Kindle Colorsoft 2nd Gen is offered in Graphite and Fig, with a Signature Edition featuring an aluminum rear panel. The standard Kindle Colorsoft costs $290, while the Signature Edition is priced at $320.

Three new Kindle accessories were also introduced: a Kindle Click Bluetooth page-turn remote for $35, a Page-Turn Cover for $80, and a charging dock for $60.
