Costa Ltd reported an operating profit of £20m for the year ending 31 December 2025. This profit marks a significant turnaround, following losses of £13.5m in 2024 and a loss of £5.8m the year before 2024.

Revenues increased by 5% to nearly £1.3bn, compared with only 1% growth recorded in 2024. The company currently operates 2,700 outlets across the UK and Ireland, employing approximately 20,000 people.

Last year, Costa opened a net of 50 new outlets within the UK, and it intends to open another 50 new UK outlets this year. Furthermore, the group plans to remodel around 250 stores annually after updating over 1,200 of its 1,700 company-owned outlets.

Digital self-order kiosks are now installed in 200 UK outlets. The company also launched the sale of more Podio office coffee machines in May.

Philippe Schaillee stated that the coffee shop is increasingly a destination for morning and afternoon, noting that people seek more than just caffeine, including iced herbal teas for later in the day. Schaillee also claimed that Costa is now the UK’s largest seller of matcha via its cafes, and that the company was already the UK’s third biggest brand in home coffee machines.

The new headquarters for Costa in St Albans, Hertfordshire, will accommodate 300 workers upon its opening in January.

Philippe Schaillee stated, "The coffee shop is increasingly a destination for morning and afternoon. People not only want caffeine but iced herbal teas and those drinks that people will drink in the afternoon and evening."
