Donald Trump stated that Saudi Arabia should accept an offer from Israel to assist in the fight against Yemen's Ansar Allah (Houthis). The former US president affirmed that Riyadh will accept this Israeli assistance and noted that "Yeah, I do, sure. Israel has been very helpful to Saudi Arabia."
Trump claimed that Saudi Arabia is very happy to have the support of both Israel and the United States, adding that joining the Abraham Accords is back on the table. Reports from Haaretz indicate that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had previously declined Benjamin Netanyahu’s help against the Houthis via US mediation due to fears of a backlash from the Saudi public.
Benjamin Netanyahu remarked that "there are barely any Middle Eastern states that aren’t asking us for help." An attack on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport on 10 October killed 13 people and injured more than 300 others.
A second strike on 11 October reportedly killed one Pakistani national and injured 11 people, leading to the airport's closure until 17 October.
