Lebanese journalist Zeinab Faraj survives Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon

Zeinab Faraj survived an Israeli drone attack in Lebanon after being buried under rubble alongside a dying colleague. The journalist was documenting the aftermath of the war in southern Lebanon with Amal Khalil when they reached the village of al-Tiri on 22 April.
A car carrying 27-year-old Ali Nabil Bazzi and 37-year-old Mohammed Hourani was struck by a missile and caught fire ahead of the two women. Amal Khalil died approximately one hour before paramedics returned to the area, having previously shouted, "Oh God, they’re gone."
The Israeli military identified the targets as saboteurs violating the ceasefire, which Israel agreed to in mid-April. An Israeli military spokesperson described Khalil's video as “terrorist media,” while human rights groups called the attack a war crime.
Khalil had previously received death threats from Israeli numbers.
