Six of these compromised keys were designated for Transport Layer Security (TLS) certificates, while two were used to verify software through code signing.

The private keys involved utilized the ECDSA P-384 cryptographic method but were generated with insufficient randomness. Mozilla independently recovered the keys within hours of the initial report.

No malicious exploitation had been publicly confirmed at the time the advisory was released. Google stated that no TLS certificates linked to the six compromised intermediates appeared in Certificate Transparency logs before the certificates were blocked.

National CERT warned against removing root certificates indiscriminately.

The Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) raised Rs600 billion between 1 July and 15 October. A total mobilisation target of Rs1.65 trillion was established by the CDNS for the 2024-25 fiscal year.

Within that same period, the agency allocated Rs170 billion specifically for investments in Islamic finance. For the 2025-26 fiscal year, the CDNS set a target of Rs60 billion for Islamic savings instruments.

The organisation reached a resource mobilisation goal of Rs1.53 trillion for the 2026-27 fiscal year. During the 2023-24 fiscal year, the CDNS gathered Rs1.742 trillion.

Dr Asif Hasan received an award at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards for his extensive contributions to medicine. More than 30 years of his career were dedicated to providing paediatric cardiac care.

Over 4,000 open-heart operations were performed by Hasan during his medical tenure. Approximately 3,000 of those procedures were completed by the surgeon while acting as the lead.

In 1995, the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle appointed Hasan as a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon. Hasan also directed the paediatric transplant programme at the same hospital.

Earlier this year, the doctor retired from his position at the Freeman Hospital. Charitable surgical camps held overseas also saw participation from the surgeon.

Music companies and stakeholders controlling the rights to Elvis Presley's music have filed a lawsuit against Anthropic for copyright infringement. The legal action claims Anthropic chose to pursue a potential $2 trillion initial public offering instead of respecting the copyrights of the Presley estate.

Round Hill Music previously accused the company of illegally scraping hundreds of songs without obtaining permission. In August, Busch sued Anthropic on behalf of Round Hill Music, seeking $1 billion in damages.

Busch stated, "The Works were created over periods of dozens of years, and Anthropic, by its infringing conduct, is destroying the value of these Works in a matter of a few years with only profit as its motive." Kenny MacPherson died in Los Angeles on 24 October at the age of 71. MacPherson served as the chief executive officer of Hipgnosis Songs Group, which Sony Music acquired in 2025.

Punjab Police recorded a 40 percent decrease in serious crimes across the province compared to the previous year. During the same period last year, authorities registered 176,971 cases.

Harry Styles will perform three shows at London’s Wembley Stadium on 24, 27 and 28 August 2026. The singer is scheduled to play a series of shows in Arlington, Pasadena, Toronto, Chicago, Berlin, Nanterre, Madrid, Rome and Dublin.

John Wilson has been filming Styles at Madison Square Garden since August to gather footage for an upcoming documentary. The film is expected to combine live concert footage with a look into the artist's personal world.

One source said the documentary features authentic human stories of everyone involved in the tour, from the singer and his fans to the countless others behind the scenes. Styles released his fourth album, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally”, in March 2026.

Pakistan will join the international community in observing World Day for Audiovisual Heritage on 27 October 2026. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) designated "Your Window to the World" as the theme for this year's event.

UNESCO stated that audiovisual archives serve as a significant repository of knowledge, mirroring the social, cultural, and linguistic variety of different communities. The international observance was first proclaimed in 2005.

In 1980, UNESCO’s General Conference adopted the Recommendation for the Safeguarding and Preservation of Moving Images. The Memory of the World Programme was established by UNESCO in 1992.

A 2015 Recommendation from UNESCO addressed the preservation of and access to documentary heritage.

Rameen Shamim earned the Player of the Final title during the National Women's T20 Tournament 2026-27. Shamim contributed 15 runs from 16 deliveries and claimed two wickets for 9 runs in the concluding match.
