Islamabad authorities mandate disclosure of professional engagements for drug sale licences

Pharmacists and qualified persons seeking drug sale licences in Islamabad Capital Territory must now disclose all current and past professional roles across Pakistan. The Pharmacy Services and Drug Control department issued this advisory to ensure applicants provide a complete history of their work.
Authorities will cross-check submitted data against records held by Pharmacy Councils and other drug regulatory bodies to verify the information. Providing false declarations or concealing professional ties could result in the rejection of applications and the cancellation of existing licences.
Official sources stated that strict legal action will be taken on submitting false declarations or concealment of information. Proprietors are encouraged to perform thorough due diligence before they submit their formal requests to the department.
Violators may also face disciplinary proceedings referred to the relevant Pharmacy Council.
