Rapid Support Forces launched a coordinated drone attack against five power stations in eastern Sudan, causing widespread electricity failures. Two power stations in each of the Al-Jazira and Gedaref states were hit by the drones, while a third station in White Nile state was struck.

A UN tally shows that drone strikes killed more than 300 people during the first three weeks of October. Aid workers report that the war has killed more than 200,000 people.
At least 8 million children are currently out of school due to the ongoing conflict. Sudan's currency lost more than 25% of its value in recent weeks.
