Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired an Apex Committee meeting in Peshawar to address the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The government stated its primary objective is to eradicate terrorism and establish peace across the province.

Federal authorities confirmed they will supply every resource the province requires to achieve these security goals. Security forces remain fully capable of defeating terrorists within a matter of days.

Officials noted that the current situation involves the application of Articles 232 and 234 of the Constitution. No political motives or specific targets were involved in the recent developments.

Criticism was directed at political leaders who showed reluctance, failed to lead the forces, and adopted a soft approach toward terrorists. These leaders also placed conditions on counterterrorism operations, whereas the government maintains it will not back down from its focus.

Economic growth and national stability depend on achieving peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. While political issues can be resolved through dialogue, the administration remains committed to its security priorities.
