Pakistan is undertaking concerted diplomatic initiatives to reduce friction between Iran and the United States. The nation is also working to foster peace and stability throughout the broader region.

Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh addressed the media on 25 October during a medical camp held in Khokhranwala, Chiniot. Shaikh stated that the current regional situation is harming economies, trade, and the everyday lives of people across the area.

He urged all parties to show restraint to stop further escalation of the conflict. The Muslim Ummah holds a collective duty to safeguard the holy sites of Makkah and Madinah, Shaikh said.

Restoring normal trade and achieving regional peace are essential for the Pakistani economy. Shaikh noted that Pakistan's economy faces several hurdles, including trade barriers with India and Afghanistan.

Opening trade routes with neighbours like Iran is necessary to boost export and import opportunities, draw in investment, and improve market access in Western Asia. Testing is currently being conducted to confirm the scale of a high number of hepatitis cases in Chiniot.

Shaikh suggested that a lack of clean drinking water might be a factor in the hepatitis outbreak. Education and health, especially for children, must remain top priorities for the government.
