Authorities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have developed an action plan to secure political and economic stability through 206 measures across 27 departments. The initiative is scheduled to run for a duration of 100 to 180 days.
Core objectives of the strategy include improving law and order, administrative structures, public services, and economic stability. Infrastructure upgrades involve repairing approximately 1,150 major roads and renovating the GT Road.
The plan also targets the opening of 150 blocked drainage routes, the restoration of 80 parks, and improvements at 20 busy traffic points in Peshawar. Health services will be bolstered by establishing 250 basic health centres that function 24 hours a day.
Medical facilities must ensure at least 80 percent availability of essential medicines. Education reforms include improving 1,500 schools and addressing a furniture shortage for roughly 700,000 students.
The government intends to hand over low-performing schools to the private sector while reopening destroyed or non-functional schools in the merged districts. Energy and utilities will see the revival of non-functional water supply schemes and the provision of concessional financial support for solar home systems for 65,000 households.
Highways will receive solar-powered lights, and the plan includes the construction and improvement of the Bannu Bypass. Mining safety measures include establishing centres in Kohat, Abbottabad, and Buner to handle mine accidents, providing medical check-ups for miners, and creating digital records of mining.
Youth development will be supported through technical training, interest-free loans, and the promotion of business and research projects at universities. Digital monitoring will track the attendance of doctors, nurses, and other staff members.
Urban aesthetics will be addressed by beautifying bazaars and buildings in all districts, while sports grounds will be improved. Rescue 1122 services will expand in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the incomplete portions of the Ring Road will be repaired.
