Security forces kill 12 terrorists during foiled infiltration from Afghanistan
Security forces killed 12 terrorists during an exchange of fire after foiling an infiltration attempt by Khwarij and Afghan Taliban from Afghanistan into Pakistan. Naib Subedar Hidayat Aman, a 40-year-old resident of District Ghizer, was martyred while confronting the infiltrators.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated, "While security forces, maintaining a high state of alertness and vigilance, effectively thwarted the infiltration attempt, Afghan Taliban Posts also opened fire to support the infiltration attempt by Khwarij. Skilful and precise engagement by vigilant troops resulted in killing of twelve Khwarij and Afghan Taliban." Troops are currently conducting a sanitisation operation to remove Indian-sponsored Kharji from the region.
This action occurs under the counter-terrorism campaign approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan, known as vision “Azm-e-Istehkam”.
