The University of Karachi administration now requires prior approval for every program and event held on campus. No academic event or program can take place at the university without the Vice Chancellor's permission.

A formal notification regarding these new regulations was issued by the University of Karachi Registrar. Officials must submit applications for approval at least 15 days before a proposed program date.

The Registrar’s Office will now issue invitations to any minister, dignitary, or other special guests. Individual departments are no longer permitted to issue invitations directly.

Attendance of guests invited to programs requires approval from the Vice Chancellor through the Registrar’s Office. Violation of these instructions may result in disciplinary action under the relevant rules of the university.

Mustafa Kamal, the Federal Health Minister, attended an event held by the Department of Computer Science at the University of Karachi. Ismail Rahu, the Provincial Minister for Boards and Universities, was scheduled to attend the concluding session of the Department of Computer Science event.
