The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) announced on Friday that the Paris St-Germain versus Lyon fixture will be delayed by one day. Originally set for 19:45 GMT on Sunday at the Parc des Princes, the match is now scheduled for 20:30 on Monday.
French police prohibited the game from occurring on its initial date following demonstrations involving approximately 550,000 people last Saturday. Protesters gathered to voice opposition against rising fuel costs, education standards, and the general cost of living.
Lyon currently sits at the top of the table with 14 points, while Paris St-Germain occupies second place after seven matches. The rescheduled game coincides with the Ballon d'Or ceremony in London, where Ousmane Dembele was named the 2025 winner.
Toulouse also moved its home game against Troyes from Saturday to Sunday. An NFL match between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints will take place on Sunday at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis.
