Hasan Nawaz has returned to the Desert Vipers for the fifth season of the International League T20 (ILT20). The batter joins the squad to replace Aneurin Donald, who will miss the tournament due to international commitments.
Donald has been selected to represent England in a T20I series against Australia scheduled for November and December. The team is looking to defend the title they won in Season 4 of the ILT20 earlier this year.
Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan, and Naseem Shah are also members of the Desert Vipers roster. Nawaz previously scored 291 runs at a strike rate of 134.1 during the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
He also contributed 220 runs for the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, who secured the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) title. During the previous ILT20 season, Nawaz took 12 catches across 13 matches.
The fifth edition of the ILT20 will run from 21 November to 20 December, with the Desert Vipers starting their title defense against MI Emirates at Dubai International Stadium on 21 November.
