Louis Oosthuizen is set to depart LIV Golf as the rebel circuit struggles to navigate a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. Jon Rahm is another prominent figure among those choosing to quit the tour.

Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund announced in April that it was reducing its financial support for the organisation. BC Partners Credit has provided new investment to the tour to bolster its financial position.

The tour will decide this month whether to shut down operations or transition to a 2.0 model. Oosthuizen, who competed in the inaugural event in June 2022, stated, "I loved LIV and the team aspect, but it's time to move on."

The golfer explained his reasoning by saying, "I want to play near one spot for three weeks at a time, not have all the big travelling for one tournament." Despite his departure, Oosthuizen remains listed on the official website as the captain of the Southern Guards GC team.

Tour members have a soft deadline of 25 October to formally declare whether they will remain with the circuit.
