Google launched Gemini 4 Argon today for developers and enterprises through the API in AI Studio and the Gemini platform. Subscribers to Google AI Ultra can access the model within Google Antigravity.

The model secured the top spot on the Vals Index. Introductory pricing for Argon starts at $2.00 per million input tokens and $10.00 per million output tokens.

Users receive a 95% discount on cached input tokens. Teams using Argon in Antigravity saw agentic code submissions rise by more than 35% while reducing code rollbacks by nearly a third.

The Chrome team used Argon to separate core webpage handling from a legacy folder of browser features containing approximately 6,000,000 lines. This task involved the broader Chromium codebase which contains 40,000,000 lines of code.

For google/adk-python, Argon cut in-memory session preparation time by 40% during long sessions and increased cold import speeds by 21%. Researchers utilized the model to make xTB up to 2.3x faster at predicting molecular structures and 1.8x faster at conformer search.

Argon achieved a 2.85x end-to-end inference speedup on an A100 via vLLM. Throughput on Gemma 4 E2B accelerated from approximately 37,900 to over 108,000 tokens per second.

The model synthesized roughly 50 GB of data including Airborne LiDAR scans, GIS room vectors, Library of Congress CAD drawings, and NPS archives. At Isomorphic Labs, Argon compressed a process that usually takes weeks into just hours.
